Coach Sergio, a proud GRPS alumnus and lifelong supporter of Ottawa Hills Soccer, brought his passion for the game back to his roots in 2023. After honing his coaching skills during his service in the Air Force, he is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of soccer players at Ottawa Hills.

Coach Nate is thrilled to lead Ottawa’s spring varsity team for first time this year. Last season, he focused on building relationships and preparing women’s JV team on conference routines. After sharing a role with Coach Sergio’s boys team in the fall, he is eager to foster pride in Ottawa’s women’s program. He has experience in GRPS middle school soccer since 2020 and involvement in GR’s parks and recreation programs for over a decade, Nate comes from an athletic family that values character alongside athletic achievements, ensuring that the pursuit of excellence goes hand in hand with success.

Coach Ivan Tenorio-Leyva’s passion for soccer began at the age of 12, when he started playing competitively with Hope Academy of West Michigan. What began as a love for the game quickly developed into a lifelong commitment, as he went on to compete with well-known youth clubs including Michigan Futbol Academy (MFA) and Alliance Academy FC. These early experiences helped shape his technical foundation and deep understanding of the game.
